Our client is a sought after multinational technology employer with a busy 80-strong global legal team employing 150 different nationalities (the office in Spain is highly multicultural as well) operating in literally every country in the world.
Due to the continuous business growth and internal promotions this multinational industry-leading services, data processing and software development organisation is looking to hire a talented lawyer for their EMEAR team to be based in London or Madrid.

The legal team mirrors the business structure. The role is part of the EMEAR General Counsel's team and is highly versatile in nature handling mostly company commercial and commercial contract work. The work is varied and exciting – the company operates at the absolute forefront of their sector. Responsibilities include providing legal advice to the commercial organisation to support the global growth of the business model; drafting and negotiation of commercial contracts contracts; strategic decision making, structuring transactions and analysis of relevant regulatory environment; development and implementation of templates; liaising with external counsel and procuring input and advice. This is a big role actively shaping complex deals across dozens of jurisdictions.

Given the high value / high quality work on offer we are looking for the following skills and experience
- 2-8 years of experience either in-house or in private practice (any specialism - private practice training or experience is strongly preferred; industry-related skills will be developed)
- The following skills and experience are NOT mandatory but it's great if you do have them: technology, IP, e-commerce, outsourcing, data protection, competition
- European languages (especially French, Spanish, Arabic or Russian) would be of value but are not essential
Jurisdiction of qualification is not essential (likely you will be qualified either in EU, UK, US, Canada or Australia).
