JOB TITLE: Employment Solicitor
PQE REQUIRED: 2 years PQE+
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Employment Solicitor to make the next step in their career and join a leading employment team. The appointed Employment Solicitor will be responsible for their own caseload of contentious and non-contentious employment matters including discrimination, TUPE and matters concerning equal pay. The caseload will be busy and diverse and it is likely that no two days will be the same. In addition, the role will include providing training to clients on all areas of employment law, ensuring they run their businesses in the smoothest way possible.
The ideal Employment Solicitor should have an excellent academic record and should have gained two years of post qualification experience at another reputable law firm. The Solicitor should have a broad knowledge of all areas of employment law including, but not limited to, employment contracts, policies and procedures, employment tribunal claims, grievances disciplinary procedures, redundancy, and equal pay legislation. It is vital that the Employment Solicitor has had experience in the employment tribunal and our client is looking for someone that has worked on cases of this nature from the initial instruction all the way through to conclusion. Due to the increased amount of instructions currently being received by this department, the Solicitor should be able to handle a heavy caseload, have excellent organisation skills and have the ability to meet strict deadlines.
