Commercial Property Solicitor - Relocate to Leeds
- Full time
This opportunity could really suit someone looking to relocate to Leeds as it is a senior role, offering access to great quality work but NOT requiring a following. It is with a thriving firm in Leeds City Centre, they have really gone from strength to strength over the past 4 to 5 years across all of their departments and this role is specifically looking to support the growth within their Commercial Property team. One of their lead partners within the team is looking to recruit a highly experienced commercial property lawyer to be their right hand person, taking over some of the significant transactions that they work on as well as some of their client relationships.
They don't need someone with a following but they do need high calibre experience and a real commitment to client care. It would be particularly useful if you have had exposure to development work, they undertake really high quality work for household names within both the commercial and residential development market. Their existing clients have become extremely busy and they have also made a number of key client wins, creating a real need for some extra support for this work and for these clients.
There is a lot of flexibility as to the exact level that they recruit at, however as it is a senior role it is likely that to have the right experience you'd have at least 8 years pqe, you could have much more.
There is an excellent atmosphere within the team, they treat people very much as grown up's, have a team target which creates a very supportive and collegiate environment, they are also a very stable team underlined by this being a growth role not a replacement role.
As mentioned, they don't need someone who is guaranteeing to bring work with them, this role is primarily about freeing partners time to be able to do more of that, however if you did bring work, or grew into doing so, that could be recognised in status and remuneration. There is plenty of scope for progression within this role and the practice has a very positive and clear approach to career development.
So whilst undertaking excellent work, and not being under pressure to bring work in yourself the firm have an excellent atmosphere and approach, people genuinely enjoy being a part of it and feel as though they 'count'.
