A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen for an employment solicitor. We are in search for an experienced, driven candidate to join a newly developed legal team within an ABS. This is a homeworking based role advising on respondent employment matters. The legal team is lead by forward thinking, dynamic individuals who have already secured numerous of notable and exciting clients, some of which are household names. Our clients have a fresh and innovative attitude that runs throughout their work; they are proactive and are already well known and respected, despite being at only the beginning at the relatively early stages of their journey.
You will be recruited as the fifth member of a close knit employment team, providing first rate advice on employment matters from the respondent side. The role will require you to work from home however, you will be required to occasionally travel to London and Leeds for meetings and training. Unusually, the role offers an excellent opportunity for someone who is seeking challenging work but with regular hours, as they operate 9am through to 5.30pm; allowing you to have a brilliant work life balance. The company are also happy to consider someone who wishes to work a 4 day week.
Furthermore, this role is unusual as there are no billing targets!
You will be presented with your own portfolio of clients suited to your style of work, creating the opportunity to build a long term, ongoing relationship with them. Client service and satisfaction should be the primary core of your motivations and you should also show a real passion for providing the best advice on employment matters.
It is likely that a suitable candidate will have a minimum of 5 years PQE, however, it could be that you have up to 10 or 12 years PQE and be a perfect candidate for the job.
Due to the nature of the role, you must be hard working and disciplined; striving for the best results, even in a relaxed environment. You should show flare and interest in your chosen field and you should strive to excel in order to make a tangible difference to your clients; and to meet their needs and exceed their expectations. Client service is at the very core of this ABS.
To meet the needs of the role, you are required to have first class communication skills allowing you to convey your knowledge in a clear, commercial and accessible manner.
This is a unique and exclusive role which offers an alternative way of working as it does not require you to meet stressful billing targets. The role is paid on a salary basis and there are also opportunities to receive bonuses for any work that you actively bring in, which is a great opportunity to have a positive impact on your earnings, although, it must be stressed that there is no pressure to bring work in.
