A well regarded international law firm
The firm is looking to hire construction litigation associates 2pqe+ and 5pqe+ to join a busy Construction, Energy and Infrastructure team.
The team is extremely friendly, diverse and supportive, however the right candidate will be granted a large amount of autonomy and responsibility and will be expected to supervise more junior members of the team.
You will be working on complex and very high-value disputes, both international and domestic as well as advising on discrete legal issues.
You will be expected to have experience and knowledge of all the major standard forms of contract, such as JCT, NEC and FIDIC as well as all forms of dispute resolution including litigation, arbitration, adjudication and expert determination.
The team advises on a broad range of sectors within the industry including transport, infrastructure, energy and real estate.
To fit in with the team you will need the following:
experience from a recognised construction team with international work
a firm grasp of key principles of construction law
knowledge of the main standard forms of contract
an excellent academic record
an ability to get on with clients and colleagues, both in the London and international offices
to be a team player
to be organised, responsible and able to work effectively in situations of high pressure
to be adept at managing your own caseload, with limited or no supervision and actively supervise more junior members of the team
to be commercial and to have a good eye for detail
to be willing to work hard and to participate fully in the marketing and business development activities of the group.
