In-house Property Lawyer
Based in Somerset, my client is a household name that continues to experience significant ongoing expansion. Their established in-house legal function now seeks to recruit an additional lawyer with strong commercial property experience. Reporting into the Head of Legal the successful candidate will manage the company's existing estate portfolio to optimise the estate and deal with estate management issues such as renewal leases, surrenders and re-grants, licences for alterations, deeds of variation and disputes with adjoining occupiers and landlords. The role will also advise and negotiate on property related commercial agreements e.g. construction contracts with contractors, business rates and utility contracts. You will also work closely with external advisers, including panel firms and planning consultants.
You will be a qualified solicitor with a minimum of 5 years' PQE with proven technical knowledge of a broad range of commercial property law, particularly landlord and tenant matters and portfolio management. We will consider lawyers from both a private practice and in-house background.
The culture is fast paced and requires quick decision making where you will be rewarded by seeing your actions making a genuine difference to the business.
